About

Design is in my DNA. With a Creative Director for a grandmother, I learned design composition alongside the ABCs. My grandmother would bring me to her studio, show me her comps and illustrations, and then let me play with the copier.

I’ve been dedicated to and passionate about design since then, and through the years have also picked up skills in creative leadership and outside the box design thinking.

I call myself a creative weirdo; a creative person who does things in their own way instead of following what everybody else does. It is not the one who makes noise or draws attention to themselves, but the one who remains steadfast and true to themselves. Being outside the box has gotten me much farther in my career than playing it safe ever did.

WHAT’S MY BACKGROUND?

I have a B.DES in Visual Communication Design from the University of Washington. I’ve worked at various in-house design studios and creative agencies, always focused on brand development through a variety of design applications. My varied design background with focuses in presentation design, product design, digital marketing, branding, environmental design and fine art have made me a well-rounded creative.

WHAT DO I DO FOR FUN?

When I’m not kerning type, you can find me planning my next travel adventure; from Disneyland to Paris to Tokyo, I’m always ready to jump on an airplane.
